Yet, each relationship had unique dynamics and public interest, and so their breakups became the headline stories in the entertainment industry.

Honey Lee and Yoon Kye Sang

Honey Lee has officially confirmed that her romantic relationship with Yoon Kye Sang (who she dated for 7 years) has come to an end in 2020, amicably, with both parties deciding to continue as good colleagues.

After the split, Yoon Kye Sang ended his contract with Saram Entertainment.

IU and Jang Ki Ha

IU started dating musician Jang Ki Ha in 2013 after they met through mutual friends. Flash forward two years later, and that's when they officially went public with their relationship.

Sadly, they broke up in 2017 after four years of dating.

Sulli and Choiza

Sulli and Choiza dated for almost three years before splitting in 2017, although the two had a large age gap. Their relationship was a frequently followed affair, and their breakup drew much media attention.

Lee DongHwi and Jung Ho Yeon

Just last month, Jung Ho Yeon and Lee Dong Hwi split after nine years of dating to keep track of. The two of them began dating in 2015 and went public in 2016, but they are now going to be good colleagues after their split.

Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri

In November 2023, Ryu Jun Yeol and Hyeri, who were in a six-year relationship, confirmed their breakup. The two began publicly dating in August 2017, after they worked together on the hit drama Reply 1988.

Earlier this year, in March, Hyeri wrote an apology letter regarding her breakup with Ryu Jun Yeol after rumors of his new relationship with Han So Hee surfaced. The couple's breakup and dating rumors have been hot topics in the netizen community.

Hyeri emphasized that breaking up with her partner was not impulsive, and she wished to fix the misunderstandings.

Jeong Jinwoon and Yeeun

After dating for four years, Jeong Jinwoon and Yeeun ended their romance in 2017, having previously been quite a couple. Years later, Yeeun posted a screenshot of a text message on Instagram that contained this apology and sentiment to reflect on their past.

She wrote: "I'm revealing the text message that was the motif of 'Happy Now'. I am sure you are happy, but I hope you become even happier and hope that you live a fruitful life no matter what seed you plant. I am happy now. I acted nice while doing things worse than average guys. I was always sincere while dating you, and I thought a lot about how I wanted you to be happy even though it isn't because of me."
