Chae Soo Bin, the female lead of MBC K-drama "When The Phone Rings," revealed her father's funny but touching reaction to her passionate scenes.

During the interview with Star News, Chae Soo Bin explained that her dad has been wary about seeing her intimate scenes in dramas ever since.

She said, "He couldn't watch because his issue is with the more provocative stuff."

Despite his discomfort, Chae Soo Bin's parents have been her biggest supporters throughout her acting career.

Her mother dutifully tuned into every episode and often praised the show, while her father watched it on Netflix after the episodes aired. "He's actually been telling around the neighborhood to turn on the TV to catch when the show aired," Chae Soo Bin added.

"But he also could not stand watching the kissing, so he turned it off. Making him sit through this whole production must have been such torture. Watching that kind of scene was already hard, even back then,' she said.

Since its premiere, the K-Drama, based on a web novel, has gained massive popularity, earning multiple awards at the 2024 MBC Drama Awards.

The drama has also drawn its fair share of attention thanks to the off-screen chemistry between Chae Soo Bin and her co-star, Yoo Yeon Seok.

And even if her father doesn't go in for the steamy bits, it's clear he's proud of Chae Soo Bin as an actress.
