Unlike in K-dramas, relationships are never quite perfect. Actress Park Ha Sun revealed that her husband, actor Ryu Soo Young, had often wanted to break up with her when they were dating.

On January 21, Park talked about relationships with fellow actresses Hong Eun-hee and Han Hye-jin on SBS's Dolsing Fourmen. In the episode, as reported by Namnam News, she opened up about Ryu's past, including the many times he threatened to break up with her.

Park, who has starred in several Korean dramas, said she was confused about the actions of Ryu and his family at first.

"We were already engaged, why is he always trying to break up?" she said. Park described how Ryu proposed just a week after meeting while working on a drama shoot, and suggested they get married in the fall.

Although the marriage proposal was made soon after their first meeting, Park did not feel ready for marriage and delayed their wedding for two years until the age of 30.

She later learned from neighbor and actress Park Sol Mi that Ryu's breakup threats were his way of expressing eagerness to marry.

Park said with a smile, "I guess that was his way of playing hard to get."

Tak Jae-hoon listened and looked puzzled, saying, "Suggesting a breakup is like playing a trump card. It's risky to try and push things forward that way."

Park replied, "I held back for a long time and even suggested breaking up first, but I don't end things easily. I'm very patient."

Park, known for carefully considering breakups, humorously shared that she simply replied, "Okay, okay," and moved on, which amused many.

Ryu, who has gained a reputation for being a skilled cook (he even won KBS2's Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant).

The two, who wed in 2017 and share a daughter, remain one of the most adorable pairings to keep an eye out for. Park joked about how she had advised Ryu to improve his kiss scenes in order to secure more roles.
