DJ Koo criticized those spreading rumors about Hsu's inheritance, reportedly valued at ₩110 billion KRW (about $75 million USD). "Some people are already slandering my wife and family even before I could even process this immense grief for myself," he wrote.
He reiterated that Hsu's share of the inheritance would go to her mother, assuring he would protect the family that Hsu loved so much. He further guaranteed that the pieces of property belonging to his late wife's children would be secured in accordance with the law until they reached legal age.
DJ Koo will honor her legacy by protecting her family's interests. "The time I spent with Xiyuan was invaluable," DJ Koo said.
Here's the English translation of DJ Koo's message:
My angel went back to heaven on February 2, 2025 .
Firstly, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the many people who are mourning for Hee Won.
I'm going through a time of indescribable sorrow and pain where the windows are on the verge of falling the creator.
I don't have the strength to say anything and I don't want to.
But before the time of great loss and grief was over, the devilish people began to sell the love of my family and mine.
Some are walking around in the sad rain while others are creating fake news about insurance and costs to feed their families.
Is there really such bad people in the world... I'm scared of the thought of this.
Can't you please stay still so that our Heewon can rest in peace.
Please, I beg you.
And to the precious legacy Hee Won left behind
Let me tell you about it.
All the inheritance was collected by Sengjeon Heewon to protect his beloved family, so I intend to give all the power to my mother-in-law.
Children's Empowerment is trying to take legal action to protect their children until they become adults to prevent bad people from touching them.
For me, the time spent with Heewon was a precious and unique gift that I cannot exchange for anything in the world.
I think the last thing I'll do is to protect the families I love the most.
For the last time, I bow my head and thank everyone for your love and condolence for our Hee Won.

As per Ilgan Sports, DJ Koo and other family members arrived in Taiwan on Feb. 5 from Japan following Hsu's death. Barbie Hsu's younger sister,rDee Hs, announced that a public farewell ceremony would be held, as per her sister's wishes.
Barbie Hsu starred in the hugely popular Meteor Garden. Fans from around the world have mourned her unexpected death.
Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, who also goes by her English name as Dee Hsu, has died aged 48 while traveling in Japan from complications of influenza and pneumonia, her family confirmed.
This news has also sent tremors across Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China's entertainment industry.
How Rich is Barbie Hsu?
As mentioned, Korean media outlets report Barbi Hsu's net worth is over KRW 110 billion, or USD 75 million.
Dimsum Daily reported that Hsu has a sizeable property portfolio with a number of investment properties located in Taipei's Xinyi District, which have a total market value of NT$924 million (about USD 28 million). Her real estate portfolio itself shows that she is a shrewd investor.
Her property portfolio includes three luxury homes in Taipei's exclusive Xinyi District. In 2009, Hsu purchased the peaceful complex, which has only 33 units, for approximately NT$200 million (around USD 6 million).
In 2011, she bought another luxury residence and sold it in 2020 for NT$247 million (USD 8 million).
In 2016, Hsu bought a Xinyi penthouse unit, which is now worth NT$362 million (approximately 11 million).
Although the property is registered under Hsu's name for convenience, it was purchased by her ex-husband, Wang Xiaofei, who is not a citizen of Taiwan.
Hsu had been involved in legal disputes with her ex-husband over her estate, including matters such as property division, custody of their children, and inheritance.
The public is inquisitive about where her two children will live after the divorce: her father or Hsu's new husband, DJ Koo.
Family members were still discussing plans for her final arrangements and farewell ceremony.
