Businessman Wang Xiaofei, the ex-husband of late Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, is set to remarry just months after her death.

Chinese media outlet Sohu reports that Wang will wed Mandy, a woman described in local coverage as a "hot girl," on May 17 in Beijing.
The wedding is shaping up to be a flashy and high-profile affair, with Wang reportedly expected to arrive at the venue by helicopter.

The ceremony will take place at a hotel styled like a traditional courtyard house and will include 200 staff to film and photograph the event.
The wedding will also be livestreamed on social media platforms in China.
According to Sohu, Mandy's wedding dress will feature 999 diamonds and a 10-meter-long veil.
Imported ingredients, including seafood flown directly from Antarctica, are expected to be served during the banquet.
A source close to Wang told QQ News that the businessman "wants to make this wedding grand to announce the start of a new life, moving on from the shadows of the past."
Public reaction to the announcement has been mixed.
Wang and Mandy registered their marriage shortly after Barbie Hsu's passing, and some netizens have criticized the timing of the ceremony, calling the move insensitive and premature.

Others argue the couple had already made their plans before Hsu's death and see no issue in the wedding proceeding.

In early April, Wang sent invitations to several celebrities.
However, prominent television host Wu Zongxian publicly declined the invitation.
Wu, a close colleague of Barbie Hsu's sisters, cited concerns over public perception.
His absence is widely seen as a gesture of respect toward Hsu.
Wang publicly confirmed his relationship with Mandy in January 2024 and proposed in March.

They registered their marriage two months later.
Since Hsu's passing, the couple has assumed responsibility for raising her two children.
Barbie Hsu's mother, Huang Chunmei, previously stated that her daughter's final wish was for Wang to take good care of their children.
The wedding is scheduled to take place less than three months after Barbie Hsu's death, sparking ongoing public discourse about grief, timing, and personal boundaries in the public eye.
