The production of Kim Soo Hyun's highly anticipated K-Drama Knock-Off has been suspended indefinitely, according to a report from SPOTV News, casting uncertainty over one of Disney+ Korea's most expensive projects.

The production team informed cast and crew that filming would be paused with no scheduled date for resumption. The drama's release date has also been delayed indefinitely.
Knock-Off was notable for its scale and budget, reportedly costing about ₩60 billion KRW (approximately $42 million USD).
Kim Soo Hyun's fee alone was said to be ₩9 billion KRW (around $6.29 million USD). However, the project has been derailed amid ongoing allegations related to Kim's relationship with the late actress Kim Sae Ron.

Industry insiders speculate that breach-of-contract penalties could be as high as ₩180 billion KRW (roughly $126 million USD), which is three times the show's production budget. No official confirmation has been released regarding the penalty figure.
The drama was planned as an 18-episode series centered on a man whose life is overturned by the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis and his rise to power in the counterfeit goods market. Kim Soo Hyun was set to star alongside actress Jo Bo Ah.
With legal issues still unresolved, the production company is reportedly waiting for developments before deciding on the drama's future.
