The Independent Critic recently released a list naming the actresses with the most beautiful faces in the world. This week they followed that list with another one citing the world's handsomest actors. More than a dozen Korean singers and actors were named on that list. Here's what the Independent Critic, headed by TC Handler, had to say about Korean male beauty.
Last but not least in the ranking was actor Lee Byung Hun, who starred in the Hollywood blockbusters "Red 2" and G.I, Joe: Retaliation." In October, the actor won a Best Actor award at the Grand Bell Awards for his work in the period drama "Gwanghae." It was the seventh film in Korean history to surpass 10 million admissions.
Next in the ranking came Korean-American model and actor Dennis Oh at number 66. He appeared in "East of Eden," "Witch Yoo Hee," and "Sweet Spy.' Dennis Oh was considered more attractive than People Magazine's "Sexiest Man Alive" for 2005, Matthew McConaughey, who lost a frightening amount of weight for his role in "The Dallas Buyers Club."
Singer and actor Rain, who recently had a comeback with his songs "30 Sexy" and "LA Song" came in at an impressive 46.
The star of the Korean film "The Thieves," Lee Jung Jae was ranked at number 40. The actor won a Best Supporting Actor award at the Blue Dragon Film Awards for playing Prince Suyang in the historical film "The Face Reader."
BigBang's Taeyang ranked at number 33, right behind American actor Jake Gyllenhaal, who ranked 32. Taeyang recently released the very successful single "RingaLinga."
Korean-American actor Daniel Henney, who starred in the American film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" as well as the classic k-drama "My Lovely Kim Sam Soon" achieved 24th place.
2PM's Ok Taecyeon, who this year appeared in the paranormal romance "Who Are You?" and the film "Marriage Blue," achieved 13th place on the list. The very handsome idol will next appear in the drama "Very Good Days."
Super Junior's Choi Siwon was the top rated Korean idol on the list, reaching 7th place. He was last seen acting in "The King of Dramas" and this year he will appear in the film "Helios." Not only is he good looking and talented but he is one of Korea's wealthiest idols.
Michael Fassbinder was number one on the list, ranking first as the world's handsomest male face.
