Walt Disney Company revealed during the shareholders' meeting that there will be two new Pixar movies on the works: Cars 3 and The Incredibles 2! Fans of the mega-blockbuster animated films will surely be delighted by this news.

This announcement was made by Disney CEO Bob Iger, who also said that Brad Bird will return as the director of The Incredibles 2 and he will also work on Cars 3. The 56-year old director was known for developing two of Pixar's highest-grossing films, The Incredibles in 2004 and Ratatouille in 2007.

Brad Bird is currently working on Tomorrowland which will be released under Walt Disney Pictures on May 22. His next assignment will be the new Pixar movies, and fans have been requesting the animated genius to create Cars 3 and The Incredibles 2.

Disney Pixar also spread the good news on social media. They tweeted, "It's official: we're currently working on new films featuring your favorite characters from The Incredibles and Cars!"

The original Cars movie was released back in 2006 and it featured the voices of Owen Wilson, Paul Newman, Bonnie Hunt, and Larry the Cable Guy. In 2011, a second installment of the Cars franchise was released. That was followed by a spinoff feature called Planes under Disneytoon Studios in 2013. This year, a sequel to that spinoff Planes: Fire & Rescue will hit the theaters on July 18. If you can't wait for Cars 3, then catch the second installment of Planes this year.

Aside from Cars 3 and The Incredibles 2, Walt Disney announced the new Pixar movies for 2015 and 2016. Viewers will get a chance to see what happens inside the mind of an 11-year old girl in Inside Out on June 19, 2015. The Good Dinosaur, on the other hand, was moved on Nov. 25, 2015. Fans of Finding Nemo can see their favorite absent-minded fish again on the big screen in Finding Dory on June 17, 2016.

More surprises were revealed by Walt Disney, such plans of re-releasing The Incredibles and Ratatouille in 3D! Do you think those new Pixar movies are enough to compensate the lack of movie this year?
