HTC One 2 M8 release date is just a few hours away. And everyone wants to know - will it be top competition for the Samsung Galaxy S5? Or for that fact, the upcoming iPhone 6 expected any time between June and September.
Looking back to HTC One, it was confirmed as one of the finest handsets in the industry after it won best smartphone of the year at the MWC2014. In fact, most analysts said it was the best Android in 2013 because other smartphone suppliers like the Samsung, LG, and Sony, had to come up with high standards to compete with the HTC One.
With the Samsung S5 already taking pre-orders, everyone is anxious to check out the HTC One M8 release date on Tuesday, March 25 in a gala event in New York.
Reports say that it appears consumers have been holding off pre-orders of the Galaxy S5 presumably because it has not satisfied the standards of Galaxy watchers.
Most likely the 2014 HTC One will be called the HTC One 2 although some rumors suggest the M8 moniker for the new release. The M8 is clearly distinct from the S5 since it may not include drastic changes like Samsung claimed S5 would be. And it is not sure if Samsung was able to deliver on its promise.
The HTC grew in support from reviews after the HTC One came out with a great build and unique design despite some drawbacks in hardware and performance.
And Samsung is a sure that the S5 will sell out from the popularity of the Galaxy S series although it does lack in some areas - it is a good rival for the iPhone 6 with comparable features like aqua proof/dustproof, money management apps, along with a nice big design which has become popular among consumers in the last couple of years. This could also be a trend that is infused from the Chinese clones that sell cheap hardware for peanuts in the black market.
With the speculated specs on the HTC One 2 and already released specs from S5, it is clear that the Galaxy S5 is a benchmark smartphone across the board and the M8 will have to come out with a dazzling spec-list to present itself in front of the Galaxy S5.
