The Denver Nuggets will play the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight in an NBA game you can watch free live streaming online from Chesapeake Energy Arena at 8:00 PM ET
Kevin Durant made sure Oklahoma City (51-18) finished 3-0 on its trip by helping lead a furious rally in double overtime Friday. The Thunder trailed by eight with 49 seconds left before Durant and Derek Fisher combined for a trio of 3-pointers.
Durant provided the go-ahead shot with 1.7 seconds to go, and finished with 51 points and 12 rebounds. The NBA's scoring leader has 25 or more points in 34 consecutive games, the longest streak since Michael Jordan's 40 in a row in 1986-87.
Durant scored 30 against Denver on Jan. 9 in the second game of that streak, but Oklahoma City lost 101-88 with Westbrook recovering from his third surgery on his right knee.
Russell Westbrook is averaging 30.6 points, 6.9 assists and 6.8 rebounds in his last nine games against Denver, but coach Scott Brooks wouldn't say if he would play in this upcoming one. Westbrook has been sitting out half of the team's back-to-back games since returning in February and his minutes have been carefully monitored.
Durant is averaging 33.0 points in his past four matchups with Denver and has scored at least 30 in the three this season.
Durant scored 38 points in the home victory in November and is averaging 35.3 while shooting 53.2 percent in his last seven matchups in Oklahoma City.
The Nuggets (32-38) will seek their sixth win in eight games Monday, but they've lost their past two on the road. Before heading out on a two-game trip, Denver edged Washington 105-102 on Sunday, forcing the Wizards to commit a season-high 24 turnovers.
Before the game, the Nuggets lost J.J Hickson to a torn right ACL.
