'Iron Man' Recast? Robert Downey Jr Admits He Would Be First One Replaced! Younger 'Tony Stark' For Future 'Marvel Cinematic Universe' Movies?

Bad news for "Iron Man" fans as it seems that the "Iron Man" recast rumors are slowly becoming a reality as Robert Downey Jr put himself at the top of the list of actors that Marvel would replace.

When Robert Downey Jr was asked by the Variety on how many more of these Marvel movies does he think he can do, he replied with:

"The smart money is you have to look at everybody's age. I'll put myself at the top of the list. Sooner or later, they've got to start over and get somebody young. I'm not there with them yet. It really is the closest thing to being a beloved contract player with a big old-timey studio that there is right now. When you really think about it at the end of the day, these films are entertainment largely driven by young folks. There is something very honorable about that. I run into kids wearing "Captain America" masks. My kid believes that Captain America is real."

Is sad to see that the "star" of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is saying that he could be easily replaced by a younger actor and that he believes it's really a possibility that the "Iron Man" recast sheet could pop up any time soon.

What do you think? It's been confirmed that Chris Evans is retiring from Captain America in a few years (click here to read about it) so it's probably a matter of time before "Iron Man" is recast.
