Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is already here in many parts of the world. Scheduled for a release on April 11 as announced by Samsung, the S5 however has launched in Korea.
Apparently, mobile phone operators in Korea have begun selling the smartphone three weeks before schedule.
According to a blog post by Clare Hopping, “The Samsung Galaxy S5 has gone on early release...because the country's biggest networks would not have been able to sell the device on the manufacturer's official release date...due to state-imposed suspensions, preventing networks from doing business on that date.
…
The suspensions prevent any networks signing up new customers for 45 days after a new device is released because previously [they] were offering illegal discounts,” reports IT Blogwatch via computer world.
Indian newspapers reported, ”Samsung is holding an event in Delhi today to launch the latest flagship Galaxy S5 in India.”
However, a source close to the story told Tech2 that the launch would be set for Thursday but it would take more time for the S5 to move into store shelves.
The Galaxy S5 has also unveiled in Australia, while customers of a retails shop in the U.K. lets shoppers play around with the Galaxy smartphone before putting their money into it.
Samsung is bundling in a bunch of apps with the flagship phone. For U.S. consumers, Samsung S5 will hit the shelves on April 11 as announced at the Unpacked 5 event on the opening day of the MWC2014 in Barcelona last month.
This is now confirmed by reports about Samsung Galaxy S5 release date and prices for the U.S. market.
The U.S. market is presumably ready for an upgrade, although the the S4 and the S3 have been received well by consumers. However, the new functionx like aqua-proof, dust-proof, and fingerprint ID just like the one on Apple’s iPhone 5s are touted features that techies will want to consider purchasing.
Overall, Samsung makes a speedy response to today’s new release of the HTC One M8, which rivals the Galaxy S5 as a strong competitor for its amazing design and large screen. Samsung might still come out on top for it features and performance, but ultimately it will be up to the consumer to make the choice.
