The final game of Rocksteady Studio's Arkham game, Batman Arkham Knight introduces a new character that will test Batman and gamers alike in the final chapter of the Arkham series.

Meet the Arkham Knight, and yes he looks just like Batman with the same bat cowl and dark design but with a more tactical militaristic look which makes him pretty "Bad-ass" to everyone's eyes. He will play a major role in Batman Arkham Knight although it is not stated whether he would be an unlikely ally to the Dark Knight or a very dangerous foe.

So we're all going wonder, who is the Arkham Knight? Several theories about the characters were made by Batman fanatics and they claimed that the new character isn't new at all, and probably a familiar person to the Batman mythos.

Here some of the theorized characters that would likely fit the description of who Arkham Knight is.

Hush/ Thomas Elliot

Thomas Elliot is a skilled surgeon and a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne. He is well known in the comics in the Hush storyline were in he elaborated a revenge scheme against Batman involving several villains to do his dirty work and destroying Batman in both psychological and personal. He also covered his face in bandages and calls himself Hush to go unnoticed.

If we remember the Arkham City side mission were Batman tracks down murdered people with their faces cut-off, and it leads to Batman discovering that Hush was behind the murders. In that particular moment Hush took off his bandages and Batman is shocked to see that he looks just like Bruce Wayne, and then escapes Arkham City leaving a cryptic message that his out to get Wayne/Batman. This would likely be clue if Hush were to appear in the new Arkham game as the Arkham Knight.

Red Hood/ Jason Todd

Jason Todd, the second Robin, and currently the Red Hood is on the list of possible Arkham Knight identities. He and Batman have a history as he took the mantle of the boy wonder after Dick Grayson and Bruce had a falling out. He was killed by the Joker in "A Death In the Family" storyline. He returned in the "Under the Red Hood" storyline when he was resurrected and took cared by Talia Al Ghul. He became an anti-hero, and used more brutal tactics than his predecessor to the point that he is willing to kill. Jason Todd was never introduced in the Arkham games, but the third Robin Tim Drake is present at the time which means this version already existed before probably met the same fate like the comics. Fans were strong enough to believe that he is the Arkham Knight, because at some point he has a grudge against both Joker and Batman; Joker killed him and Batman left him for dead and wasn't able to avenged him. Another evidence to support the theory is that Jason wore a version of a Batsuit in "Battle for the Cowl" storyline as he claimed the mantle of Batman until he was defeated by Nightwing.

Damian Wayne/ Robin

Bruce and Talia's son, Damian Wayne and the fifth person to become Robin. He has been speculated to be Arkham Knight. Born and raised by Talia herself and was trained in many martial arts by the League of Shadows without Batman ever knowing. There was a hint in Arkham City were Talia mentioned to Bruce the night they spent together in Metropolis. In the comics he is depicted as a violent and unpredictable crime fighter all that because of the League of Shadows teachings and like Jason is willing to kill, and there is this fact that his future self wil become Batman. Although a good theory there is a loop hole to the whole thing as Damian is just a child when Bruce saw him and it is impossible for him to be the Arkham Knight seeing he is now an adult, although it was said that Damian was genetically perfected in an artificial womb that accelerated his growth, could be a possibility.

Azrael/ Michael Lane

Azrael made his appearance in Arkham City in a side mission were in Btaman must uncover hidden symbols each time he runs into Azrael. In the comics, Azrael was once a Gotham city police officer who became a criminal. He was captured by Batman, a confessed his sins to a priest who is a member of religious sect called the Order of Purity. Seeing a news purpose he took an armored suit called the Suit of Sorrows and blade called Sword of Sin to fight evil.

Although not proven to be Arkham Knight and likely to be a separate person, there might be a hint to this as Jean-Paul Valley, the first Azrael took Batman's place and wore a Batman like outfit, so it might be the first Azrael behind Arkham Knight.

Wrath

Wrath was considered one of the "anti-batman" in Batman's rogues gallery. Two men used the identity of the Wrath; an unknown man and Elliot Caldwell. A new 52 version of the character was introduced in the DC New 52 universe, sporting an armored suit with high-tech weaponry similar to the Dark Knight except he kills police officers both good and bad ones. Both Wrath and Arkham Knight have almost similar look in terms of appearance but we're not about to jump the gun if this one is the Arkham version of this universe.

" A Batman Clone"

Okay, this would likely be the last thing in everyone's mind right about now, a clone of Bruce Wayne. But we can't say it happened before in the case of Terry McGinnis, the Batman in Batman Beyond animated series. It was revealed in the Justice League Unlimited episode "Epilogue" that Cadmus or to be precise Amanda Waller cloned Bruce Wayne because she saw him getting older and knowing that a world without a Batman is unacceptable. Perhaps Cadmus will make an appearance as we've seen Amanda Waller before in Arkham Origin talking to Deathstroke in joining her "Suicide Squad." Could Arkham Knight be clone of Bruce or an entirely different person and is he created by Cadmus?

Well Batman fan, what would you decide as a plausible evidence of who Arkham Knight really is? We'll find out more updates of the game very soon.
