A news update for "Frozen 2" was released once again.

Fans shouldn't be expecting a release date or all-star cast update for the sequel anytime soon.

During an interview with Den of Geek, directors and writers Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck shut down rumors of a potential "Frozen 2."

Although we're keeping our fingers crossed that they'll consider a "Frozen 2" for the future, it seems that they'd rather the characters remain as they are for now.

When asked about their thoughts on a potential sequel, Jennifer stated, "Right now, I certainly feel protective of the characters, and it'd be very hard to see that happen."

The undeniably talented director continued, "Having said that, the fans have seen different things in the film, some of which wasn't our intention, but they're responding to it, and there's a discourse going on."

Chris answered, "I think with John Lasseter (creative officer of Pixar and Walt Disney Animation studios) being there, he's such a guardian of the movies now ... especially of 'Frozen,' he really was such a big part of it. And the characters too."

Buck concluded, "I think we'll be right there, but he's the 800 pound gorilla who says no, our characters don't do this. They don't go there."

Hopefully the rest of the "Frozen" cast know about this particular news update. Recently, Kristen Bell had expressed that she was on-board for a sequel any day.

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck experienced the success of their film once again when they were turned away from the Disney Store as they were trying to buy "Frozen" products.

Apparently, everything was sold out by the time they had gotten there.

Fans are still curious in regards to the production of the hit Disney movie ever since its release date and the success that followed the film and cast.

The Telegraph reports an interesting fact that the movie's anthem, "Let It Go," actually inspired a re-write of the film, making it the incredible story it is now.

Husband and wife songwriting team Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez were pitched the original story of "Frozen," with Else as a "jealous, blue-skinned, spiky haired villain of a sister."

The songwriters instead saw Elsa as a scared girl struggling to come to terms with her gift and herself.

The couple wrote "Let It Go" as "an anthem that said, 'Screw fear and shame, be yourself, be powerful.'"

Jennifer Lee stated, "The minute we heard the song for the first time, I know that I had to rewrite the whole movie."

Hopefully the writers will change their mind about "Frozen 2" so we can have a release date and news update to look forward to.
