Peaches Geldof is dead. The TV presenter has passed away at age 25, leaving behind a husband and two kids.
Police reportedly responded to a call around lunchtime, and found her at her house in Wrotham, Kent, at 1:35pm. However, the authorities are said to be treating the death as "unexplained and sudden" currently. There are no reports as of yet regarding the cause of death.
Her father, musician Bob Geldof, has confirmed her death with a statement. He said, "We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing 'was' destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is."
He added, "Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof."
Thomas Cohen, Geldof's husband and lead singer of the band S.C.U.M., released his own statement as well. "My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday. We shall love her forever," he said.
Peaches is the second daughter of Bob Geldof and the late television presenter and writer Paula Yates. Her siblings are Fifi Trixibelle Geldof, Pixie Geldof, and half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof.
The former writer and model was very active in documenting her and her family's life on Twitter and Instagram. Her social accounts are mostly filled with pictures of her husband and their children. Her last tweet hours before she died was an Instagram picture of her as a child with her mother. The Twitter post was simply captioned, "Me and my mum." Her last posts on Instagram however, were playful videos with her baby. One showed her playing peek-a-boo during bath time, and the other was taken while brushing teeth.
