It seems as if Lorde became a star overnight.

The teenage sensation began getting a solid fan base after the release of her hit single "Royals."

After the release of her most recent album, "Pure Heroine," things have been more than crazy for the "Tennis Court" singer.

Her career and personal life have both come under the spotlight.

Recently, Lorde's boyfriend has been getting his share of attention as well. Most of the attention, sadly, hasn't been positive.

Lorde's main squeeze, James Lowe, decided to write on his blog Ono Field about being dragged under the public eye solely because he's in a relationship with a talented woman.

Lowe wrote on his blog of how proud he is of Ella (Lorde) who is now a two time Grammy winner and on the opposite side of the world on tour.

He expresses how much he misses her, though he is "prouder of what she has achieved so far."

Lorde's boyfriend goes on to explain in his blog that, although he is far from being the "center of attention," he has become aware of the people around him and their "transparency" and selfishness.

All we have to say is, Lorde's boyfriend is a keeper and it's apparent that the intelligent photographer loves her very much.

17-year-old Lorde recently performed one of the biggest gigs of her career this past weekend at the Lollapalooza festival in Brazil.

According to Gigwise, the "400 Lux" singer performed in front of 40,000 Brazilian fans along with big names such as Muse, Arcade Fire, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden and more.

Lorde recently showed fans that she's more than a pop sensation.

She took to Twitter to call out a photoshopped picture of herself, stating, "I find this curious - two photos from today, one edited so my skin is perfect and one real. Remember flaws are ok."
