The new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer is up and it features an extended look at the intro sequence of the first trailer. If you doubt the skills of Star lord then this new Guardians of the Galaxy trailer will show you a teaser of his skills.

This is a scene that we actually get to see a lot of in the first trailer, but it's still interesting to see what direction it goes in. Chris Pratt's Star Lord may look like he's giving up easily when he surrenders the mysterious orb over to Djimon Hounsou's character Korath and his men, but the truth is that he has some serious moves and some pretty kick-ass toys to go with them.

While director James Gunn is still hard at work on the film as it makes its way through post-production, he took to his Instagram to share a photo from when his cast was still in training for Guardians of the Galaxy.

On the left of the shot is Zoe Saldana, who is playing the green alien assassin Gamora, while on the right is Karen Gillan, who eventually shaved off her beautiful red hair to become the alien bounty hunter Nebula who also happens to. In the film the two characters have some serious history together, and it appears that the two actresses are training for their big fight scene together here.

Guardians of the Galaxy is about Peter Quill aka StarLord, a half-human, half-alien who was taken away from Earth at a young age. Star Lord winds up stealing a mysterious and incredibly powerful orb that winds up drawing the attention of some of the universe's threats. Teaming up with a group of three other intergalactic criminals (Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista) who he meets in prison, Star-Lord must not only find a way to protect himself but the rest of the galaxy as well.

Guardians of the Galaxy will be in theaters on August 1, 2014!
