Kate Beckinsale is starring in a new movie “Absolutely Anything” directed by former Monty Python star Terry Jones. Beckinsale, 40, was recently seen filming scenes for “Absolutely Anything” on Tuesday April 15 in London, England. Photos showed Beckinsale refusing to get inside a very nice car, driven by co-star Rob Riggle.

“Absolutely Anything” is a comedy/sci-fi film is about a teacher, Neil, who experiences a series of mishaps after discovering he has magical powers. Simon Pegg and Robin Williams are also starring in the movie. Neil will be played by Simon Pegg, whose most recent major role was as Scotty in Star Trek. Kate Beckinsale plays his love interest Catherine, a production assistant on a television book program. Fellow Pythons John Cleese, Terry Gilliam and Michael Palin are doing the aliens’ voices and Robin Williams will play the role of a dog called Dennis. Simon Pegg said about Jones, “As someone whose love of comedy was hugely informed by Monty Python, the chance to work with Terry was a gift. Meeting your heroes is one thing, working with them is something else.”

Jones and his team are taking over the former Ashmount primary school site in Hornsey to make the film. Jones, 72, admitted that it has taken a very long time to create this film. “We started it 23 years ago, but gave it up in 2003 when Bruce Almighty came out with a similar premise about a man who can make impossible things happen,” said Jones to the Standard. He directed his last film in 1996 “The Wind In The Willows.” Despite the two decade long preparation time, Jones is ecstatic to be back behind the camera. He says, “Absolutely Anything is very funny. It’s really great to be back doing a movie. I’m in my element.”

Kate Beckinsale will be seen in a few other movies this year, including “The Trials of Cate McCall,” “Eliza Graves,” and “The Face Of An Angel.”
