Gwyneth Paltrow's blog GOOP is losing its CEO; Seb Bishop, who was formerly the international CEO of the AIDS-fighting charity RED before joining Goop in 2011, has resigned, a source confirms to Us Weekly. Paltrow recently announced her separation from ex-husband Chris Martin via the lifestyle website/newsletter last month, in a post titled "Conscious Uncoupling," which caused a lot of controversy online due to its pretentiousness. "A week and a half ago, he abruptly resigned from GOOP," the insider told Us Weekly. "It's really suspicious -- I think something weird is going on with GOOP."

Page Six reports that Bishop quit over the "conscious uncoupling" split announcement posted to GOOP. Apparently Bishop, 40, and Paltrow "disagreed on the direction of Goop, partly that she used the Web site as vehicle for her personal life, and the 'conscious uncoupling' announcement." The split could also be due to the fact that Paltrow, 41, is moving the Goop offices from London, where she and Martin lived with their two children for the past 10 years. Paltrow plans on moving the GOOP offices to Los Angeles, near her Brentwood home. Paltrow's Rep Stephen Huvane confirmed Bishop is leaving Goop, but denied that he abruptly quit in a disagreement with Paltrow. "Seb is still with Goop, but has decided not to relocate his family to Los Angeles. He will be transitioning out over time until a replacement is named." However, a source told Page Six that, "Seb was ready to move his wife, Heidi, and their children from London, and had even been looking at properties in Los Angeles, but then he abruptly quit."

Whatever the cause, the loss of Bishop from GOOP is bad news for Paltrow's lifestyle blog. Multimillionaire Bishop was previously a top ad agency art director who founded Espotting at the age of 26. Espotting brought the paid-search online advertising model to Europe. In 2008, he became CEO of (RED), the organization created by Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise money to fight HIV/AIDS in sub-Saharan Africa. Bishop is also an investor in mobile news app Summly.
