It is a sin to have an ideology to not look after common citizens.
On the 48th episode of MBC Monday/Tuesday drama "Empress Ki" broadcast on April 21st, Tal Tal (played by Jin Yi Han) murdered his uncle Baek Ahn (played by Kim Young Ho).
On this day, Baek Ahn moved the troops and was caught by Ta Whan as they treid to kill crown prince Ayushidari and Ki Seung Nyang (played by Ha Ji Won). However, Ta Whan (played by Ji Chang Wook) thought that Baek Ahn was a person that could not be lost like Ki Seung nyang and took Baek Ahn to Ki Seung nyang.
Baek Ahn took in Ta Whan's request and vowed loyalty to Ki Seung Nyang for their life but in the end, decided to kill Ki Seung Nyang. However, as Tal Tal turned to Ki Seung Nyang's side, Baek Ahn was in danger. Bae Ahn dealt with Ki Seung Nyang's subordinates on his own and called Tal Tal who was outside.
Tal Tal cries and stabbed Baek Ahn with a knife. Baek Ahn throws up blood and asked about the reason that Tal Tal betrayed him. Before Tal Tal , Baek Ahn sees Yeon Chul (played by Jun Gook Hwan)'s demise and talks. At the time, Baek Ahn said to Tal Tal that he was blinded by power like Yeon Chul and asked to kill himself.
As Baek Ahn says, "Do I look like someone that is captured in power. Only for the emperor and this country", Tal Tal says, "There were no commoners. The ideology that doesn't look after the public is one that is wrapped in authority" and cried. Baek Ahn ended up facing a tragic ending at the hands of the nephew. Tal Tal who ends up getting Baek Ahn's blood on him was squirming in pain and was in agony.
Viewers who watched this episode showed interest in Tal Tal's decisions for the future of her country and her virtue. Especially at the lines of Tal Tal that said ideology without public opinion is sin got empathy from viewers and showed reactions that Tal Tal was a true emperor material.
