Actor Kim Ji Soo is once again in the spotlight after a recent televised appearance, during which he made a casual remark about fellow actor Kim Soo Hyun amid an ongoing scandal that has rocked the South Korean entertainment industry.

Kim Ji Soo, who has remained largely out of the public eye following his own controversies, appeared on the April 7 episode of Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition.

The actor, who previously relocated to the Philippines after facing allegations of school violence, sexual harassment and assault, was asked during the episode if he had met Kim Soo Hyun.

"Not really. I mean, yeah, I haven't met him personally," Kim Ji Soo responded.

The off-handed remark quickly went viral with the public divided on whether or not the actor simply wasn't aware or was intentionally being dismissive.

Many viewers questioned the timing and tone of his response, especially given the serious nature of the allegations involving Kim Soo Hyun and the late actress Kim Sae Ron.

Kim Soo Hyun has been under intense scrutiny following allegations connected to his past relationship with Kim Sae Ron, who died earlier this year.

His press conference response to it only got more people talking and led to many celebs, distanced themselves from him, publicly and over social media.

Some netizens have stated that his response was not considerate of the net reflection, whether Kim Ji Soo is aware of the more considerable extent of the controversy or not.

Others, however, defended the actor, suggesting he may have simply wanted to avoid engaging with the topic.

Kim Ji Soo's return to the public eye has been gradual following his departure from the Korean entertainment scene.

His appearance on Pinoy Big Brother marks one of his first major media engagements since relocating abroad.

Representatives for Kim Ji Soo and Kim Soo Hyun have not released statements in response to the clip.
