On the 48th episode of MBC Monday/Tuesday drama "Empress Ki" broadcast on April 21st, Ta Whan (played by Ji Chang Wook) was in pain becausee of Baek Ahn (played by Kim Young Ho)'s death.
On this day, Ta Whan was charged with the crime of trying to kill crown prince Ayushiridari and Ki Seung Nyang (played by Ha Ji Won) and was sent to prison and put her in a tough situation.
To Ta Whan, Baek Ahn was a person as much as Ki Seung Nyang that he didn't want to lose. Ta Whan took baek Ahn out of the prison and took Ki Seung Nyang away.
Baek Ahn needed to survive and vowed loyalty to Ki Seung Nyang. Ki Seung Nyang knew that Baek Ahn isn't sincere and asked Tal Tal (played by Jin Yi Han) for help and tried to kill Baek Ahn.
Tal Tal is Baek Ahn's uncle but after getting to the position of Dae Seung Sang, he stood on Ki Seung Nyang's side after not having a way to block Baek Ahn.
Baek Ahn was trying to Ki Seung Nyang and instead was killed by Tal Tal by a knife. After learning everything later, Ta Whan runs to the palace and hugs Baek Ahn and was in agony.
Ta Whan put Baek Ahn on the floor and was in pain as the scene was nowhere in sight and stared at Ki Seung Nyang with anger. Ki Seung Nyang was tense at Ta Whan's fierce look that she never saw.
