Blackberry Z10 price in USA reveals a new trend in marketing of the Canadian phone maker's smartphones. The firm is using e commerce strategies through Blackberry.com and Shop Blackberry to promote sales after it posted poor results in fiscal year 2013.

Bowing down to Android and Apple iOS platforms has devalued the Blackberry product value, because BB products were not able to compete with the iPhones and Samsung Android smartphones like the fast selling Samsung Galaxy Note.

Despite a lackluster performance by Blackberry in the smart-phone market, the Canada-based company made a come back with the Z10, which is refurbished for the competition.

The latest model of the Blackberry Z10 16GB, Black (unlocked) smartphone on ebay and On On Shop Blackberry goes for $299.00 . Features listed on the Blackberry website include these specs:

  • 16GB InternalStorage
  • 4.2" Display
  • 8MP Rear Camera
  • 1080p HD video recording
  • 4G LTE Speed
  • compatible with GSM carriers, AT&T and T-Mobile
  • Ships only to US addresses

The same smartphone is listed on Amazon as Blackberry Z10 16GB unlocked GSM phone with Blackberry 10 OS, Dual-core processor, 4.2" touchscreen, 8MP Camera with rear 2MP Cam, Video, GPS, Wi-Fi, NFC, Bluetooth and microSD slot, also in Black.

The company is hoping the ecommerce strategy including eBay and Amazon will turn around its business toward profitability. Customers can now buy unlocked versions of the Z10, Z30, Q10, and Q5 phones on the Blackberry site.

Recently, at Dubai's Gitex Shopper's event, the Blackberry 10 series was discounted to just $199. On the last dale of the sale, vendors supposedly slashed Blackberry 10 price by nearly half the price tag.

"Blackberry is still at the top of its game with data and reception.," says Joshua Topolsky, The Verge.

With a strong focus on the device strategy for handsets and messaging, server, and embedded software strategy, industry watchers are hopeful the ubiquitous Blackberry will make a comeback, reports Fools.com.

"Blackberry claims to be the first, and only, mobile solutions provider to achieve a full operational capability certification to run on the U.S. Department of Defense network. This means that the government can now use the Blackberry 10 smart-phone, managed by the BES 10 platform, and can securely assess email, data, apps, and other DOD network resources."

This speaks volumes for Blackberry's security features and the future of the brand that still makes a lasting impression in just one peek.
