LG G3 release date news cite a two day release on May 27 and May 28. For some consumers, It's possible that recently released Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2 and the HTC One M8 were not 'their cup of tea.'The LG G3 release date could offer another option for those awaiting the iPhone release, now slated for release by the 2014 Christmas shopping season.

During the 2-day launch LG G3 release dates, the new LG smartphone will make its entry into six different market destinations. On the first LG G3 release date, New York, San Francisco and London will host launch programs and on the second day Istanbul, Seoul and Singapore are slated to host a launch on the 28th of May.

LG's invitations to the launch events read, "I'm writing to let you know that LG will be hosting an exciting event in London at the end of May to announce our next big global device after G2," adding, "with G2 getting its cooky points for its performance... we will be holding unveiling events in six global cities on May 27 and May 28,"

South Korean phone maker Samsung's flagship Galaxy S5 will go head to head with LG Electronics's LG G3. The latter is touted to sport strong features and specs that could be a challenger to Samsung S5's market share. It could also lure some customers into buying a solid smartphone with a large screen that is much lower in price to the highly anticipated iPhone 6, slated for release toward September or later.

The Wall Street Journal, reported that LG Electronics new release events are the company's biggest ever. The LG G2, the G3's predecessor was highlighted as one of the best smartphones of last year, though it was only unveiled in a couple of cities. It was labeled gadget of the year by Stuff magazine awards in 2013.

Although the potential for LG G2 to evolve into LG's flagship phone was certainly there, LG's inability to capitalize on the popularity of the G2 leaves the electronics maker well poised to launch a more aggressive marketable strategy for the LG G3.

LG was also a strong contender in the market when it made the Google Nexus line.

The 2013 edition of the LG G2 exposed LG fans to many new designs including a minimalist bezel and volume controls mounted in the rear. The most recent LG G3 leaks suggest the next model will benefit from a 5.5-inch polycarbonate body finished with a brushed metal effect.

Nixanbal, s Bulgarian tech blog reported speaking with sources close to the story saying the LG G3 will target a premium HTC One M8 style finish with less expensive materials.

US network carrier Sprint revealed that "LG G3 will be outfitted with its own octa-core processor called 'Odin'. Ubergizmo leak above, suggest a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with an Adreno 330 GPU. This would put the G3 level with rivals including the Galaxy S5, HTC One M8 and Sony Xperia Z2."

The price, however, is still a speculation but will hover around the G2 price, $299.

LG G3 specs tipped by the latest reports include a 13-megapixel camera, which is exactly what its predecessor the G2 had, and a reworking of the company's rear-mounted controls, sporting smaller buttons adding an LED notification light within the centralized power button.
