Fans of actor and singer Ki Tae Young will now be able to see him on a daily basis. That's because he has signed on for a role in the new daily drama "Make A Wish."
According to JStars Entertainment the actor has been cast in the leading male role of Kang Jin Hee.
Ki Tae Young describes his character Kang Jin Hee as a man with plenty of emotional scars but a certain amount of charm. Kang Jin Hee finds that he is able to move past his painful history when he meets a woman who helps him cope. What attracted the actor to the part was his character's nurturing and self-sacrificing nature.
"Kang Jin Hee is like ‘daddy long legs,' in that the only thing he can do for the woman he loves is to be by her side," he said, referring to a fictional character that becomes a young girl's benefactor.
The woman his character chooses to help is named Han So Won. Kang Jin Hee helps her prove her husband's innocence. Han So Won's husband was framed for embezzlement and winds up brain dead after a suspicious accident. She is convinced that the two events must be related. Together they must unravel the mystery.
Actress Oh Ji Eun is currently considering playing the role of Han So Wan. The actress is best known for her role in the daily drama "Smile Again," the weekend drama "Three Brothers" and the drama, which parodies k-dramas, "The King of Dramas."
It has been eight months since Ki Tae Young was regularly seen on the small screen. He previously portrayed lawyer Jang Eun Joong in "Scandal: A Shocking and Wrongful Incident." But he has been busy. Last year he also appeared in the "Drama Special: Nightwatch" and "Case No. 113." The actor is best known for his role as Doctor Jang Min Woo in "To The Beautiful You," as well as his roles in "Royal Family" and "Creating Destiny." It was in the 2009 drama "Creating Destiny" that he met his future wife, the singer and actress Eugene. He played the boy her father wanted to marry. The two were merely friends while filming the drama but rumors said they were dating. It was discussing their dating scandal that resulted in the actors growing closer. The fake scandal eventually led to them really dating and marrying.
"Make A Wish" will follow "Shining Romance" in June.
