An upcoming "The Simpsons" episode will feature a death among the characters of Springfield and although the showrunner won't reveal who, it's going to be bigger than the death of King Joffrey in the Purple Wedding of the "Game of Thrones." An Egyptian TV station, meanwhile, is studying the series following the Syrian war.

Showrunner Al Jean told TVLine that "The Simpsons" episode or what he calls as the "Yellow Wedding" will be "a bigger deal than King Joffrey on 'Game of Thrones.'"

He also dropped hints on who the character will be . As per Jean, he's an actor who grabbed an Emmy for lending his voice to that character.

Al Jean also assured fans that they are not going to kill an iconic character.

"I'd like to say it's a great character, but I never used the word 'iconic.' It's a terrific character and it [happens in] our premiere this coming year," he said.

Meanwhile, an Egyptian TV station has reported that "The Simpsons" episode predicted the Arab Spring and the war in Syria, which led it to believe that both revolutions were started by the Americans.

According to the Washington Post, the claim by the TV network regarding "The Simpsons" episode was first discovered by the Middle East Media Research Institute which monitors then translates news and information from major Iranian and Arabic TV channels all over the world.

A worker for the DC-based non-profit group found a clip aired on Al-Tahrir TV which the anchor explained to viewers about the 2011 "The Simpsons" episode featured a flag that was similar to the Syrian opposition.

The anchor then went on to say, per Washington Post: "That's why people are saying on Facebook that this is a conspiracy. In 2001, there was no such thing as the flag of the Syrian opposition...This raises many question marks about what happened in the Arab Spring revolutions and about when this global conspiracy began."
