Actress Park Jin Hee is making plans for her wedding this weekend. She had a photo shoot in various bridal gowns with The Third Mind photographer Kim Bo Ha. In that photo shoot she wore dresses designed by Lee Myeong Soon and had her face done by make-up artist Kim Hyun Sook.
But there's no word as to whether any of the dresses she was photographed in will be the look she wears when she marries on May 11 at the Shilla Hotel. The wedding is going to be a small private affair for friends and family. A few celebrities may attend but the bride and groom want to keep things simple.
The actress played a television reporter in love with a younger man, played by Kim Bum, in "The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry." She is marrying a lawyer, who is five years younger than she is.
She met her future husband through a mutual friend. They met last fall while she was playing Ye Jin in the MBC historical drama "Guam Heo Jun," which is based on the true story of the Joseon-era royal physician Heo Jun.
A friend introduced Park Jin Hee to her fiancé and, as they shared so many common interests, they seemed like a perfect match.
Both the actor and her lawyer fiancé are very interested in environmental activities. Park Jin Hee has a master's degree in social welfare and has promoted the Seoul Environmental Film Festival, the Korea Green Foundation and the International Natural Preserve Organization. And she's not just an ambassador for the cause she believes in. She was also on hand to personally help clean up an oil spill in 2007.
The actress, 36, played a part in "Take Action, Now or Never!" a short film about the environment and promotes the idea of riding bicycles to reduce greenhouse emissions.
Her fiancé said that he was attracted to her because she has a kind heart. And despite being a well-known actress, he found her to be very modest.
The actress appeared in the dramas "War of Money," "Giant," Please Come Back Soon Ae" and the films "Shadows in the Palace," "Whispering Corridors," and the 2012 film "Grape Candy." This year she appears in the film "Botox."
Park Jin Hee can be expected to make a beautiful bride this weekend. She made a lovely bridesmaid in "The Woman Who Still Wants To Marry" and now it's her turn at the altar.
