John Constantine is back as the Constantine TV series first trailer has been revealed and it features Matt Ryan facing a lot of souls, demons, and redemption in NBC's new TV show! Will the "Hellblazer" hero beat the other upcoming DC TV shows such as "Gotham", and "The Flash"?
Staying true to the Hellblazer comics, the Constantine TV series trailer shows John Constantine' (Matt Ryan) a former exorcist and master of the dark arts' being treated in a mental Asylum as he believes that he is on the verge of insanity. Then all sorts of supernatural beings started to crawl out of the surface, and it's up to him to stop them whether he likes it or not.
Other characters are also shown in the Constantine trailer such as the angel Manny (Harold Perrineau) and a young girl named Liz (Lucy Griffiths). Manny warns Constantine that something is coming, and it is somehow connected to Liz as she is being hunted down by wandering souls and demons for some reason. Manny also hinted something dirty about Constantine as he tells him he" damned" a little girl to hell along with her, his own soul, and Constantine struggles to do whatever he can to redeem himself from his personal demons and save his soul from hell.
While NBC's new show is promising, Constantine isn't the only DC character coming to TV as Fox's Gotham, and CW's The Flash are also prepared for war. We've already seen Gotham's trailer last week, and a new promotional poster of the Flash has been released last weekend so it is only a matter of time that a full trailer will launch soon and blows the competition away. Expect heavy fight feel between these three networks as the DC shows will be aired sometime this year.
