iPhone 6 release date rumors suggest that the new Apple Smartphone could be coming out about a month earlier than expected.
Reports have been claiming that the phone will be launched in September but Reuters on Friday said Apple will launch it in August.
The 4.7-inch version of the iPhone smartphone will come in August, the report said. However, the 5.5- or 5.6-inch variant will arrive in September.
Sources close to the story confirmed with its sources that there will be 5.5-inch and 4.7-inch versions of the Apple phone. It said that about 80 million iPhone 6 models will be produced this year ahead of launch.
Since display screen sizes are increasing, marketing the iPhone as a bigger product will help compete against the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the HTC One M8. The current trend among smartphones is a large-size smartphone that meets the size of a phablet.

PCAdvisor updates that Chinese analyst Sun Chyand Xu reported on GSMArena that Apple, which prefers June and September as its favorite months for new launches, may relase the iPhone as early as June. Apple has a way of surprising its fans. Former CEO Steve Jobs was exceptionally good at making new release appearance at MacWorld and other platforms. CEO Tim Cook's shared appearances with the Apple design team in September 2013 led to a 'collaborative presentation' of the two new releases in September last year.
So far, Apple has unveiled a half-step phone like the iPhone 5S. But the mid-year release remains a challenge since there are some heavyweights in the market ready to take on the iPhone 6 like the Samsung Galaxy S4, Samsung Note III, Sony Xperia Z1 and HTC One. Adding to that, the much hyped Samsung Galaxy S5 release date is imminent, which gives Apple head-to-head competition for its money.
Jefferies analyst Peter Misek said in a TechRadar report that the June 2014 release for the iPhone 6 could be extended to September, the same time last year that the iPhone 5S was unveiled.
According to TechRadar's projections, the iPhone 6 release date still stands for iPhone 6 because Apple likes to be different. With the WWDC a platform for software, this year might see a twist in the story as hardware iPhone 6 is released at the event. Late in 2014, a second model of the iPhone 6 is likely.
