Fans who were missing Lee Min Ho after "The Heirs," may be pleased to learn that they don't have to wait for his upcoming film "Gangnam Blues" to air. The star of "The Heirs," Boys Over Flowers," "City Hunter" and "Personal Taste" has filmed a promotional three-part mini drama titled "One LINE Love.

The mini-drama about Naver's global messenger app "LINE" can be seen on China's video-on-demand site IQiyi. Even though the drama only consists of three 15-minute episodes, it quickly attracted international attention. Shortly after it was released the video received five million hits.

The mini-drama tells a story that reflects the wildest dreams of many fan girls. In "One LINE Love," a Chinese girl travels to Korea and is lucky enough to meet a handsome and talented music producer named Min Ho, who is played by Lee Min Ho. Taiwanese actress Bea Hayden plays the lucky girl who is named Ling Ling.

When the two meet they like each other right away but they don't speak each other's language. Fortunately, technology solves the problem. The characters use the mobile messenger app LINE to communicate and grow closer.

The drama was filmed in Korea at popular tourist sights such as Seoul's Namsan Tower, which was also the site of romantic scenes in Lee Min Ho's breakout hit "Boys Over Flowers."

According to the actor's agency Starhaus Entertainment, "One LINE Love" has received a lot of love since it opened. "It is being spread by word of mouth at an extremely fast rate, causing it to have a high number of views.

That's not surprising since Lee Min Ho is now a major Hallyu star in China. Earlier this year he reached 20 million followers on Weibo, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter. His dramas, from "Boys Over Flowers" to "Faith: The Great Doctor" have always been received in China, but his leading role in "The Heirs" earned him even more fame. After "The Heirs" ended, he was invited to help ring in the New Year on a televised gala performance in China. During that performance he sang the theme from "Meteor Garden," the Taiwanese version of "Boys Over Flowers."

The actor has been besieged with offers to do commercials there. He is said to be worth about $9 million in commercial fees alone, for ads ranging from cars to cosmetics. His appearance in the mini-drama episodes will help probably be successful in popularizing the global messenger app.
