Actress Song Hye Kyo shared her thanks to the filmmaker John Woo. The 67th Cannes international film festival premiered this week, and actress Song Hye Kyo was invited with her team of filmmakers for the Chinese film "The Crossing." On May 17, 2014, at the Salon Diane room of the Cannes Majestic hotel, the press conference for the Chinese movie "The Crossing" took place. In addition to actress Song Hye Kyo, director John Woo and actress Zhang Ziyi also attended the press conference. In the press conference, Song Hye Kyo spoke of her experience filming the movie in China. Song Hye Kyo said, "There was not much difference in filming in Korea and China. I was a foreigner in China so at times it was hard to adjust, but the actors and staff members helped me out a lot. In terms of acting, it was not that hard." Song Hye Kyo added, "Especially director John Woo is a father-like figure. He is very good at explaining things before we shoot, so I was able to film well without too many difficulties." In related news, the new Chinese film "The Crossing," directed by renowned filmmaker John Woo, tells the story of love and pain in the 1940s in China. Actress Song Hye Kyo started filming "The Crossing" with director John Woo back in 2008, and has also attended the Cannes international film festival. "The Crossing" finished filming last year, and is to premiere on November of this year in China.
