"House of Cards" Frank Underwood is being billed as the next opponent for Abdel Fattah al-Sisi who is expected to win the presidential elections in Egypt by a landslide. The social media campaign for him already went viral.

The social medial campaign, which has been shared via Facebook and Twitter, has pitted Kevin Spacey's Frank Underwood with Egypt's former army chief, The Jerusalem Post reported.

Abdel Fattah al-Sisi is expected to dominate the elections on May 26 & 27 since he is facing a lone opponent, Hamdeen Sabahi.

In the viral photo, "House of Cards" Frank Underwood can be seen looking slightly up to the right with his left hand lightly touching his face seemingly in deep thought. The social media campaign comes with its very own battlecry: "Love Live Egypt. Kevin al-Spacey for President of Egypt."

Meanwhile, Robin Wright, who portrayed Claire Underwood, said in an interview with Town & Country's June issue that she almost didn't accept the role to be the wife of "House of Cards" Frank Underwood when it was first offered to her.

"Hollywood is difficult to navigate if you have integrity. So I opted not to work if there wasn't enough to do in a role, which doesn't have to do with the role's size," she said.

"If there's nothing for me to do as an actress, that's frustrating," Robin Wright added, explaining that she'd rather do backbreaking menial work than be in a project only because she wants the money.

However, she was assured by showrunner David Fincher that she won't be a mere talking head and that she "could help create the character as we went along, that we would make discoveries together."

The show's creator, Beau Willimon, said told Us Weekly that Robin Wright, along with Kevin Spacey , was their only choice to play Claire Underwood.

"If he brings indomitable power, she brings intoxicating inscrutability," Willimon said.
