Actress Bae Doo Na admitted her relationship with British actor Jim Sturgess after the two have been rumored to be together for two years. On May 20, 2014, Bae Doo Na in the press conference with the Korean reporters at Cannes international film festival said that, "Jim Sturgess is my boyfriend." She then clarified that, "My manager has said that he and I are good friends. But he is actually my boyfriend." Actress Bae Doo Na has been invited to the Cannes international film festival 2014 for her role in the movie "A girl at my door," which was selected for the "un certain regard" section of the Cannes international film festival. The movie "A girl at my door" (Korean tittle Do Hee Ya) tells the story of a girl who experiences family violence, and another girl who works as a police officer, who tries to help out the girl.

Bae Doo Na added that Jim Sturgess has been very supported while she was filming "A girl at my door." She said, "He has been by my side since I chose to film this movie, and up until now. So he was as moved (by the Cannes showing of the movie) as I was. He complemented the movie and the staffs."

Bae Doo Na and Jim Sturgess met when they filmed the Hollywood movie "Cloud Atlas." Later on, the two were spotted together in the United States and Seoul. Bae Doo Na at the press conference during the Cannes international film festival said, "Jim Sturgess is my boyfriend."

The movie "A girl at my door" is to premiere in theaters in Korea on May 22, 2014.
