Would you believe Group A is comprised of the World Cup host, Brazil and the favorites to win the World Cup. In addition to that, a spot for second place is also expected to come out Brazil World Cup 2014 Group A.

As far as predictions go, every host nation except for South Africa in 2010 has qualified for the first round in the World Cup. Brazil is touted to win the world cup adding to their 5 prior wins and in turn, win Group A.

It is interesting to note that the competition in Group A is trivial, which also adds to an advantage for Brazil. You can also bet on Brazil's stellar players like Neymar, David Luiz, Silva, Hulk, Oscar, Ramires and lots of other rising stars. We'll have to wait and see which players emerge as the next football star. However, one of the weak spots for Brazil is the goalkeeper Julio Cesar, who has not played consistently in the 2013-2014 season. Cesar will have to prove himself during the championship.

When comparing the other teams in World Cup 2024, Brazil owns 22 wins, six ties and 10 losses against Mexico and a record of one wing and one loss against Croatia. Brazil also beat Cameroon in a 3-1 in a win-loss.

Mexico and Croatia represent the most interesting teams in the group. Both teams had to undergo changes during the qualifiers. A poor show by Croatia in the UEFA championship led to the Coach's firing amid concerns over qualifying for this summer for the World Cup. Croatia has a trio of players that might surprise this tournament - Luk Modrica, Ivan Rakitic and Mario Mandzukic.

Mexico too got rid of three coaches in a month after Miguel Herrera led the battle against New Zealand. Herrera did a splendid job with Mexico rounding up key players Javier Hernandez, Carlos Salcido, Oribe Peralta and Giovanni Dos Santos.

Group A's final roster includes is Cameroon. Cameroon makes its sixth World Cup appearance in 2014. though it has progressed past group stage once. The African team exited at the first hurdle in the last three World Cups, finishing 31st four years ago at the South Africa World Cup 2010.
