71-year-old Harrison Ford was reportedly hospitalized after being injured on the set of "Star Wars: Episode VII."

Ford was being treated for an ankle injury that happened during filming on Thursday said Disney, according to Fox News.

A source told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor "was injured by the door of the Millennium Falcon, the spacecraft that his character pilots in the original films, and looks to be making a return in the sequel."

Disney told E! News in a statement that Ford "sustained an ankle injury during filming today on the set of 'Star Wars: Episode VII. He was taken to a local hospital and is receiving care. Shooting will continue as planned while he recuperates."

As all "Star Wars" fans already know, Harrison Ford is one of several of the original cast members returning to film the J.J. Abrams-directed sequel.

Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Peter Mayhew, Anthony Daniels and Kenny Baker are the other "Star Wars" alums that will be joining Ford for the sequel.

Currently, "Star Wars: Episode VII" has an impressive, star-studded cast, which includes the stunning Lupita Nyong'o, Gwendoline Christie, Adam Driver and John Boyega.

There is speculation that actor Simon Pegg might be included in the cast of the upcoming "Star Wars" as well, according to screencrush.com.

Pegg is reportedly "playing a secret role in the film and was present on set to shoot scenes in Abu Dhabi," according to the publication IGN Middle East.

The comedian has denied any part in the film time and time again.

"I don't think it would be appropriate for me to be in it, to be honest. I think J.J. should cast new faces with no stunt casting," stated Pegg to The Independent.

"Star Wars: Episode VII" is expected to hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
