After President Yoon Suk Yeol was recently impeached, Korean actor Lee Dong Wook made a sudden post that caught Korean netizens' attention.

On Thursday, South Korea's Constitutional Court officially upheld Yoon's impeachment, citing legal grounds.
Chief Justice Moon Hyung Bae ruled that the impeachment was valid and stated that the court could not dismiss Yoon's declaration of Martial Law as merely a warning.
Shortly after the announcement, Lee posted a message on his fan communication platform: "It is finally spring. Winter was too long."

While the statement did not directly reference Yoon's impeachment, many interpreted it as a symbolic comment on the country's political climate.
Lee had previously posted a similar message last year, writing, "Spring seems to be getting a step closer," accompanied by a reference to Girls' Generation's song "Into The New World."
K-netz praised the actor's subtlety and thoughtfulness.
"A good-looking face also has a healthy mindset," one user commented. Another wrote, "This kind of message doesn't reveal much political color, but it is sensible enough."

Lee, known for his roles in dramas such as Tale of the Nine-Tailed and Goblin, has built a reputation for his measured public statements.
Fans have found him pretty endearing just from recent comments, others saying he is "a loyal Kia Tigers baseball fan" therefore "just a nice guy too."
The impeachment of Yoon, who took office in 2022, is a significant shift in South Korea's political landscape.
The court's ruling comes after months of legal maneuvers and public scrutiny over his office.
