"Looper" actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt's new movie had him sporting a retro look wearing tight pants as he plays high-wire artist in "To Reach The Clouds."
The actor was seen in a retro look during the first day of taping wearing a purple shirt and brown tight pants that revealed much of his "whole package" E! Online reported.
According to the news website, Joseph Gordon-Levitt's tight fitting pants brings to mind "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm, who is known to wear crotch-hugging pants and slacks. This made him an instant internet sensation when photo memes showing the actor's crotch area was always being highlighted.
The 33-year-old "Looper" actor looked like he came straight out of a vintage film as he also sports a choppy brunette hairstyle fit for his role as the French high-wire artist Philippe Petit. He completed his character's retro look with a leather jacket, a multi-colored trainers and a bag in his right hand.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt's movie "To Reach The Clouds" is set in 1970. He will play the life of the tightrope artist who aspires to walking through thin wire between the Twin Towers at the World Trade Center in New York City. Petit has achieved his dream in 1974.
The Robert Zemeckis-directed movie also stars Sir Ben Kingsley who will play as Petit's mentor. Petit's girlfriend will be played by Charlotte Le Bon and James Badge Dale as the high-wire artist's friend, the Daily Mail reported.
The actor's latest leading lady was also seen in the first taping day wearing a red hanging shirt paired with printed skirt and backpack.
Before the film, a documentary memoir of the high-wire artist was shown in 2008 with James Marsh as its director. The documentary, entitled "Man on Wire," earned numerous awards including an Oscars.
