Martin Scorsese has been known to churn out hits, including "The Wolf of Wall Street" and "Goodfellas."

It seems he's trying to do it again in the form of a rock n' roll show for HBO, and we must say, it seems like it's going to be the network's coolest project thus far.

PJ Byrne from "Final Destination 5" and "The Wolf of Wall Street" has signed on for Scorsese's untitled rock n' roll pilot, according to Deadline.com.

Byrne will reportedly be playing Scott Levitt, the partner of record executive Richie Finestra, played by Bobby Cannavale. Finestra will be telling the story, as he's trying to get his label back on track by finding the next new sound.

The pilot already has incredible people on board, including Mick Jagger, Terence Winter, Victoria Pearman, Rick Yorn and Emma Koskoff, all of whom will be executive producing the rock n' roll show.

The cast already includes Olivia Wilde, Juno Temple. Bobby Cannavale and Ray Romano, according to the publication The Music.com.au.

The show will be set in 1970s New York and will go into the city's musical landscape "at the dawn of punk and disco's intrusion onto the popular 'sex, drugs and rock n' roll' philosophy and cultural hallmarks."

Production is reportedly being planned to start in early summer.
