Meteor Garden 3 News: Due to popular demand in Asia, rumors of bringing in a third Installment of the breakthrough Taiwanese drama are circling around and this might not be totally impossible.
According to Asian site Asianfanatics, a possible MG 3 is plausible for some, even after a lackluster sequel which is Meteor Garden 2. According to Taiwanese Daily Beat, sources close to Jerry Yan hinted that the quartet is being contacted for talks of a possible reunion and continuation to the hit TV series.
Since its first showing way back 2001 in Taiwan, the series has been finding its way back to television in different countries. As a matter of fact, the TV series is still widely popular in the Philippines, not to mention when it first hit the country where it received a very warm reception and many might say, opened the door for other Asian culture to the country.
A supplementary mini-series, Meteor Rain was produced in April 2001 and the sequel Meteor Garden II was broadcast from 11 November 2002 to 25 December 2002. The series is the first live-action television adaptation of the manga, followed by its sequel Meteor Garden II and Japanese Hana Yori Dango, its sequel Hana Yori Dango Returns and South Korean Boys Over Flowers.
At the conclusion of the series, F4 Jerry Yan, Vic Zhou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu continued to perform together and released three studio albums as quartet boy band F4. They ceased the use of the name "F4" in 2007 at the objection of Japanese publisher Shueisha, who owns the copyright to Hana Yori Dango, to avoid any confusion with the Japanese and South Korean version of the live-action adaptations of the manga. The group has since been renamed "JVKV", from the first initial of the quartet in order of descending age.
The last time these four reunited was on Jan 2013. Reuniting on stage after close to five years after their last performance together in Japan in 2008, Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Vanness Wu and Ken Chu rehearsed and performed for Jiangsu TV's Spring Gala Festival 2013, set to air as the clock strikes midnight on Feb 10 to usher in Chinese New Year.
If the rumors shall be proven true, the story will revolve around after Meteor Garden 2, right after Dao Ming Si regains his memories after an accident and reunites with her first love Shan Cai.
