Brazil World Cup 2014 Predictions: Nigeria vs. Argentina Match Preview; Another Fashionably Late Messi Expected to Rule Over Keshi's Men

Argentina is already in the Round of 16 list, but still hopes for the top spot for a perfect winning streak, and at the same time, to avoid Group E's number one. On the other hand, Nigeria's spirits are all in for this match as it is their last chance to secure a spot in the next round.

A draw could benefit both teams, but Nigeria's fate also relies on the results of the match between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iran. They are praying for a Bosnian win, too.

Nigeria's opener against Iran had ended in a goalless draw because of both of the team's stubborn yet strong defences. However, they managed to secure a win against Bosnia and Herzegovina, thanks to a first half goal from Peter Odemwingie. The game ended in a 1-0 win in favour of the Africans.

If Nigeria wants to win against Argentina, they have to attack their opponents more fiercely.

On the other hand, Argentina has been labelled as the 'dark horses' of the tournament, but slimly fails to align with their fans expectations. Sure, they managed to score wins against Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Iran with a 2-1 and a 1-0 respectively, but they are still lacking in the spectacular.

The team is composed of great players but is still unsuccessful in delivering a breath-taking performance that is expected from a favourite. Nevertheless, star player Lionel Messi always saves the day with his late goals for the team.

Stephen Keshi's men look like they are ready to fight Argentina, anyway. The teamwork between Odemwingie, and Emmanuel Emenike has been great in the Bosnia- Nigeria match.

Meanwhile, Albiceleste fans continue to hope for a redemption from other players like Gonzalo Higuain and Sergio Aguero. Argentina really needs to play as a team.

Prediction: Argentina is now pretty sure that they lack teamwork in their performance, so they have probably worked on that now. Nigeria may be a good team, but the Dark Horses still overpower them. They may score, but the opponent will win. I am rooting for a 2-1 win for Argentina.
