Country crooner Blake Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert admitted that she is a bad role model because she cusses, drinks and sports tattoos, Fox News said. In a recent magazine cover shoot, the "Somethin' Bad" singer also revealed that pop princess Britney Spears is her motivation to lose pounds.
"I cuss and I drink and I have tattoos," Blake Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert admitted in Ladies' Home Journal's as she graced its last issue.
She explained that at the age of 22, she got tattoos of two Colt .45 pistols on the inside of her arm without her parent's consent.
But though she grew up with a "tough girl image," Miranda Lambert still wants to promote a healthy image for young girls who look up to her as role model.
Blake Shelton's wife Miranda Lambert said that if someone thanks her for "being normal," she feels like she has done her part as a role model.
The "Somethin' Bad" singer admitted she decided to lose weight just before she turned 30 years old last November.
She told People last year, "I just wanted to get healthier and go into my 30s in the best shape I could be in."
Also in a recent interview with Women's Health, Miranda Lambert admitted that she is not fond of running but she got her inspiration from pop princess Britney Spears. After intense circuit training and a whole lot of diet, the "Somethin' Bad" singer is now 45 pounds lighter.
She said, "Like if I put on Britney, I can picture Britney's body and I'm like, 'Oh! Faster!'"
The admiration reached the "Every time" singer and took to Twitter her appreciation for her fellow hit maker.
Pop princess Britney Spears said in her Instagram account, "#regram So flattered by this @mirandalambert! My sister @jamielynnspears just showed me. You look amazing!! @womenshealthmag."
Miranda Lambert also told Women's Health that after she saw awkward pictures of herself in tabloid, she then decided to start changing her lifestyle.
"They were fan pictures shot from down below and you look like you have four chins, or it's from the side and your arm's pressed against your body," she said.
