It seems like more and more race car drivers are feeling the bump of the Kentucky tracks. The Kentucky Speedway will be the host of Quaker State 400 for the NASCAR Srpint Cup Series 1.5 mile track. The track is frequently called "cookie cutters" in reference to the eight cookies like bump that racer has to overcome before finishing the race. The Track in Kentucky opened in 2000 but it was only in 2011 when the hosted it's first Sprint Cup. The speedway is relatively a grueling 1.5 miles ride full of bumps.

This is the reason why a lot of race car drivers have unforgettable experience running this speedway. According to the 51 year old sprint cup driver, Michael Waltrip, "The first thing you do as a driver to go around Kentucky is put a mouth piece in because you don't want to chip a tooth while you're going around there."

On the other hand, Michael Waltrip Racing driver Clint Bowyer says "It's kind of neat because it's an obstacle and it's something you have to overcome and get your car to ride those bumps good and keep those tires on the ground."

But they are not the only one who has something to say about the track. Young Ryan Blaney who drives for Brad Keselowski Racing in the Camping World Truck Series says "actually got a nosebleed right in the middle of practice, that'll say how bumpy this place is."

Brian Vickers, Bowyer's MWR teammate calls the seepdway an extremely rough racetrack saying "broke a wheel there last time, so it's pretty rough. I like tracks with some bumps and some character. It's so rough on the straightaways and your head is moving around so much, and I get a headache. It's going to be a tough track for everyone just because of the way it is."

With this, race car drivers who would be racing these tracks should pay extra attention to their cars as well as themselves when racing or even just practicing these roads. Should Kentucky opt to refurbish they speedway for a smoother run or should they keep the cookie cutter on their tracks as this has been what they have been known for? Possibly, but it would definitely be all up to them.
