Samsung Galaxy S5 Mini Officially Introduced; Will It Meet Expectations Of Android Fans?

Finally, Samsung's miniaturized version of Galaxy S5 has been unveiled, which is going to please so many Android fans. As a matter of fact, it's going to be on sale in the next few days, starting in Russia. Although remains unknown as of the moment, but will most likely vary on each country. One thing's for sure is that Samsung's announcement should finally put an end to all leaks with regards to its specs and appearance.

Galaxy S6 mini will be running with Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box. It shares the same design as the Galaxy S5, including the texture of the back cover. Tons of features available in its flagship smartphone are in the mini version, like the Ultra Power Saving Mode, IP67 certification, heart rate monitor, as well as the fingerprint scanner.

The Galaxy S5 mini is equipped wth a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution and it is powered by a 2100 mAh battery. On the rear part, the mid-range Android smartphone has an 8MP photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, whereas there's a secondary 2.1-megapixel front camera for video calls and selfies.

Inside the Galaxy S5 mini is very much different from its big brother. The smartphone is equipped with a less powerful 1.4GHz quad-core Exynos 3470 processor and only 1.5GB of RAM. It also packs no less than 16GB of storage by default. However, can still expand the internal memory up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

Samsung Galaxy S5 mini will come in two variants. One will come with LTE Cat.4 support, while the other one will only be equipped with 3G HSPA+ capability.

The Galaxy S5 mini will be available in Shimmery White, Charcoal Black, Electric Blue and Copper Gold color options, but more may be added in the future.
