Veronica Roth just finished the last book in the Divergent series that she started writing while completing her creative writing course at Northwestern University. Now she has come a long way -- the book and the movie version, starring Shailene Woodley and Kate Winslet have been very successful.

In fact the movie which was made for $85 million, grossed $ 268 million worldwide. The sequel, The Divergent Series: Insurgent, is set to hit theaters on March, 2015.

The Divergent series owes much of its success to other novels that have paved the way for dystopian stories aimed at a young adult audience. Books like The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner also revolve around post-apocalyptic themes with young protagonists at their center.

Aside from wrapping up the spin-off book Four, author Roth was also making the promotional rounds for the final book in the Divergent trilogy, named Allegiant.

Meanwhile, the spin-off book Four will be told from Four's perspective. Roth reveals that the first Divergent book was originally intended to be told from Four's viewpoint, but then she decided that the female character Tris, would make a better narrator.

It will include three stories that take place before Divergent, one story that takes place within the Divergent timeline, and three additional scenes from Divergent.

Roth also says that Four will most likely be the last book in the Divergent world. "To me, it feels like a really good way of tying everything up. I'm excited to move on to something new, and work on something different," Roth says. "It's not that the door is totally slammed shut on Divergent forever, I could never say that, but for me it's time to try something new.

Four: A Short Story Collection will be released on Tuesday, July 8.

Meanwhile, Divergent will be released in DVD and Blu-ray in August.
