"Fifty Shades of Grey" news are buzzing about "Pretty Little Liars" cast Lucy Hale's revelation regarding auditioning for Anastasia Steele. In a word, she described the experience as "awkward."
In the latest "Fifty Shades of Grey" news on MTV, Lucy Hale apparently was one of the many actresses who read for the part of E.L. James' heroine, which eventually went to model Dakota Johnson.
"It actually was just me. "It was a two-page monologue of exactly what you would think it would be," she said.
The 25-year-old actress is typically cast in family movies like "Tinkerbell: Secrets of the Wings;" "A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song;" and "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2."
So how was it like auditioning for Anastasia Steele?
"Very uncomfortable, but it was sort of one of those things where you just had to go for it or you're just gonna look lame-hopefully, I didn't look lame," she added.
In a related "Fifty Shades of Grey" news, "Sons of Anarchy" cast Charlie Hunnam regretted dumping the lead role for "Fifty Shades of Grey" as he said he's unfamiliar with the body of work of his replacement, Jamie Dornan.
"I felt like I had an interesting take on that character and felt like I could have done a better job of playing Christian Grey, otherwise I wouldn't have taken it on in the first place," he told Life& Style.
He said that it's "heartbreaking" to say goodbye to the role of Christian Grey when "you put the time into something like that and a character comes alive in your mind."
According to Entertainment News TV, "Sons of Anarchy" cast Charlie Hunnam was set to play the rich businessman with a penchant for sadism but had to drop out due to scheduling conflict with his TV series, his upcoming movie "Crimson Peak" and his personal life.
