"Big Hero 6" Disney movie is in the works, and fans are wondering if rumors are true that The Avengers will have a cameo role in the movie.
It looks like speculations of the superheroes' appearance are just plain rumors as director Don Hall denied them in an interview published in Ace Showbiz.
"Very early on, when we were collaborating with Marvel, the decision was made to intentionally not connect it to the Marvel universe," Hall said.
"Everybody felt like it would be great for us to take this idea of theirs and make our own universe with it. Marvel really encouraged us to do that. So there'll be no Iron Man or Captain America, and no Avengers in this world. Our Avengers are the Big Hero 6," he added.
"Big Hero 6" Disney movie is based on the comic book superheroes by Marvel Comics. Marvel fans can expect that the first animated Marvel movie released by Disney will be slightly different than the comics.
The characters of Disney and Marvel's "Big Hero 6" include 14-year-old Hiro Hamada and his robot Baymax. These two have already debuted in trailers and posters, and can be assumed as the main protagonists in the movie. Then there's Fredzilla, the daredevil Gogo Tomago, clean freak Wasabi, and barista-chemist Honey Lemon (rumored to be played by Maya Rudolph).
The computer animated superhero film is produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios and is inspired by the Marvel Comics superhero team of the same name.
Disney's "Big Hero 6" features Jamie Chung, TJ Miller, and Maya Rudolph among others as the voices behind the protagonists. among the voice cast. is slated for a November 7, 2014 release date.
