The'24: Live Another Day' news point to the flat ratings for the penultimate episode while time is running out for Jack Bauer and Cheng apparently has another ace in his sleeves as revealed in episode 11.
The Nielsen Fast National data revealed "24: Live Another Day" news when for the second consecutive week, the 18-49 demographic for the show recorded the same numbers even if the overall viewership increased to 5.96 million.
Citing the Nielsen data, HeadlinePlanet said that Monday's episode generated 1.5 adults in the 18-49 rating with 6.00 million viewers, against last week's edition which drew 5.76 million viewers and 1.5 rating.
However, the website noted that the "24: Live Another Day" has never been known for its ratings but rather its critical acclaim.
"The question now becomes whether those good reviews, promising time-shifted viewership and awareness of the summer's impact on ratings will compensate for the mediocre live-plus-same-day ratings," it said.
Meanwhile, in another "24: Live Another Day" news, Jack Bauer will find himself in a bind once more as the season winds down to a close.
Cheng has proven to be a formidable archnemesis and during the penultimate episode, he revealed an ace up his sleeves after capturing Aubrey.
In terms of action and plot twists, "24: Live Another Day" episode 11 was a slam dunk. It was revealed that Aubrey's husband Mark was working with the Russians (so is Cheng, apparently), Chloe managed to escape from Cheng's henchmen but woke up to find himself in the jungle, Jack still hasn't gotten hold of the override device, and finally Cheng captures Aubrey.
In the final scenes, Aubrey was to meet her contact in the Chinese embassy when the secret service agents surrounding her start falling one by one. As Aubrey stood alone, she received a phone call from Cheng who told her to stand down if she wants to live.
Can Jack save Aubrey, or is this going to be the death of the hero?
"24: Live Another Day" airs on FOX on Monday.
