The "House of Cards" season 3 cast and crew were stranded by a storm warning while filming episodes for the political drama on Netflix, as the expected release date of February 2015 seems to be in the cards.
Creator Beau Willimon tweeted an image of the "House of Cards" season 3 cast and crew huddling together amid the green screen background. He also captioned the image: "Tornado warning in MD. Entire cast & crew of @HouseofCards gathered in green-screen room for safety. Wish us luck!"
Production for the third season will be in Maryland after Gov. Martin O'Malley gave tax credits to Media Rights Capital, creator of "House of Cards" in the hope of keeping 3,700 jobs and more than "100 million dollars of economic activity and investment."
Season 2 of the "House of Cards" earned 13 Emmy nominations, or four more than the pilot season, which was made more significant by the fact that it was the first online show that received Emmy consideration.
Among the categories that the political drama was included are the outstanding lead actor (for "House of Cards" season 3 cast Kevin Spacey) and lead actress (Robin Wright), outstanding direction, outstanding drama series, outstanding writing, and guest stars Kate Mara and Reg. E Cathey.
According to Breathecast, the "House of Cards" season 3 is "predicted to air its first episode in February 2015." The writers of the show will now have to deal with the problem of what's next for Frank Underwood now that he's achieved his goal of being the President of the United States.
Beau Willimon also broached the question in an interview, Breathecast noted, as the creator said: "What do you do when you're on top of it? Who are you? You can no longer say, 'I'm the guy trying to reach the summit.' Now, it has to have meaning. It used to be that the meaning was getting there."
