"Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul" has erected a billboard for a fake advertisement as a novel way to promote the pilot, as AMC reportedly ordered for a second season even before the premiere could air.
The network AMC has embarked on a clever promotional campaign for the "Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul" as it ordered for a billboard in Albuquerque, New Mexico which featured Saul Goodman, played by cast Bob Odendirk, as attorney at law.
According to MailOnline, the billboard also had a phone number that will redirect callers to a voicemail.
"Hello! You've reached the law offices of James M. McGill, Esq., a lawyer you can trust. Kindly leave your information at the tone and Mr. McGill will phone you promptly," the voicemail said.
Meanwhile, even before the pilot season, the AMC already renewed the "Breaking Bad" spinoff "Better Call Saul" for a second season for 13 episodes, The Hollywood Reporter said, which added that the premiere will be aired early 2015.
Creator Vince Gilligan dished out "Better Call Saul" spoilers during the Television Critics Association's press tour, particularly when he was asked whether Walter White might appear in one of the future episodes.
"If it makes sense we'll do it, if it doesn't make sense we won't," Gilligan said, perTIME magazine.
Walter White's appearance might prove to be difficult since the events in the "Breaking Bad" spinoff will take place six years before Walter White.
According to London's Mirror, citing the official description of the series, the events in "Better Call Saul" is set "six years before Saul Goodman meets Walter White."
The man who will eventually become Saul Goodman is still known as Jimmy McGill who is described as a "small-time lawyer searching for his destiny, and, more immediately, hustling to make ends meet."
