Marvel fans are eager to know whether "Thor 3" is really in the works. Based on new reports and spoilers, it definitely looks like it!

It was previously reported that Marvel Studios has already released its 5-year movie line-up with almost the majority of it being unconfirmed projects. This makes "Thor" fans all the more excited that "Thor 3" is definitely included in the line-up.

Screen Crush has also reported that Marvel is indeed pushing through with "Thor 3," and has in fact, already hired screenwriters. One of which, is Marvel's former Senior Vice President for Production and Devopment Craig Kyle.

Kyle will be working on the "Thor 3" screenplay with Christopher Yost who has already written for "Thor: The Dark World."

Now that fans are assured that there is indeed a story already being prepared for the next "Thor" film, they will just have to wait and see what the upcoming film's plot will be.

Some speculate that the third movie in the "Thor" franchise will feature the total destruction of Asgard called Ragnarok, and will feature villain Surtur.

Another report from Hitflix suggested that there will be a direct link to "Thor 3" at the end of "Avengers 2: Age Of Ultron." Furthermore, the report said that there will be war between Midgard and Asgard, causing Thor to be confused in choosing which side he will be on.

As for Odin's fate, no one really knows if the Asgard King is still alive. At the end of "Thor: The Dark World," it has been implied that Loki has killed him and pretended to be him so he can rule over Asgard.

Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige had a few words to say about Odin in an interview with i09.

"I would not say that it's safe to say, no. I don't know what Loki did to him," he said.
